Full Description: Palacio Del Mar is ideally situated, just a stone’s throw across the road from Los Locos beach, a long stretch of beautiful sandy beach which gently slopes into the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean. Los Locos beach has been awarded the European Blue Flag of cleanliness.
This luxurious apartment consists of a very spacious air-conditioned lounge and dining area with pull down double bed and two comfortable, 3-seater sofa’s (one of which folds out into a double bed so you have a choice of double beds in the lounge) with enough seating for 6 people and plenty of floor space for children to play, without being under your feet!
For your in-house entertainment, there is a 21” wide screen TV, which picks up many UK channels and some Sky channels, a DVD player (with a library of films), a video player and a hi-fi system, along with a selection of board games and children’s small beach toys. The dining area also seats 6, and the large separate kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to cook a full Sunday lunch! There is an electric hob, full oven, washing machine and microwave-grill, toaster, along with all the other usual electrical appliances and plenty of crockery and cutlery.
There are 2 air-conditioned bedrooms (1 double - with a Kingsize memory-foam bed and 1 twin bedroom) both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes and clock radios. The double bedroom also has a TV, which receives UK and some sat channels, plus there is a DVD player. The fully tiled bathroom comprises of a four piece suite (including bath with shower) There are grab rails along the bath walls, for guests with mobility problems.
Outside is a large, partly sheltered, sun terrace with patio furniture for up to 6 people, along with 2 sun-loungers. This is an ideal apartment for those of you with small children as the sun terrace is very spacious and totally secure, with a private lockable gate into the recreation and pool area. The apartment and terrace look out onto the inner courtyard and ornamental fountain, not the main road, which makes it a more peaceful setting and being situated on the ground floor it is again safe for children and easy for wheelchair access. The whole building is wheelchair friendly.(Please note that the pool is closed daily between the hours of 3-5 due to the Spanish siesta)
Along the sandy beach there are a couple of climbing frames for the children, a volleyball/badminton net, plenty of water sports and a floating play-raft in the summer season. Directly opposite the apartment block there is wheelchair access onto the beach and a children’s climbing frame. Most early mornings you can take part in the local Pilate session on the beach, where the local people prepare themselves for the day, or work off some of the excesses of the previous night! We should note that, directly in front of this building, the waters edge is slightly rocky, which although not ideal for paddling, does mean that this part of the beach is less crowded. You only need to walk a short way up the beach for a sandier approach into the waters. Just a five-minute walk away is the totally pedestrianised promenade, sandy beach and restaurants of Playa Del Cura, where you can happily watch the children on the beach whilst having a nice relaxing meal at the same time! The numerous restaurants and bars cater for all tastes.
Los Locos has more than enough bars and restaurants to offer all tastes, including Spanish, French, Chinese and even Swedish cuisine, but if you want a more buzzing nightlife, the metropolitan town centre of Torrevieja is a leisurely 25 minutes stroll along the sea front. Playa Del Cura is the next beach along and from there the promenade is pedestrianised and lined with bars and restaurants all the way into town.
For those of you who have a car we have secure private underground parking (access by lift) below the apartment. If you do not want to hire a car to get around, there is a bus stop to the right of the front of the building and the local bus service runs into town every 10 minutes. There are 2 or 3 taxi ranks in the town to get you home which charge around 5 euros.
There is a video/phone security entrance system, a small safe and we have security shutters and concertina grilles on all windows and doors for your total peace of mind.
Additional linen is provided for stays longer than one week and there is English management, so you do not need to worry about any language barriers if you have any problems.
